Sam Austin Bio

A member of the True Wind investment team since 2021, Sam focuses on sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and partnering with founders and the management teams at portfolio companies to devise and implement strategic organic growth initiatives across key products and vertical industry lines, including assessing and executing add-on acquisitions. His experience spans M&A due diligence, operational support and sector thesis development. Sam serves on the board of AIA Contract Documents and W Energy Software, and works closely with True Wind portfolio company VikingCloud. Prior to joining True Wind, Sam was co-CFO of Active Interest Media. Previous to that, he worked at Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm, and in the Financial Sponsors Group at Citigroup. Sam holds a B.A. in International Studies and a minor in Latin American Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
