Phil James Bio

Phil specializes in helping growing companies build and scale their organizations, partnering with CEOs to resource and prioritize each company’s key goals and opportunities, sourcing and executing M&A, and navigating the capital markets. His investment experience spans both growth stage and scaled software businesses, particularly in vertical and horizontal application software in the US. Phil serves on the Board of Transflo, and works closely with Merative, VitalEdge and LeadVenture. Prior to joining True Wind, Phil was an investor at Tidemark Capital, a growth equity firm specializing in vertical software investments, and TA Associates. He began his career with J.P. Morgan’s technology M&A investment banking team, and prior to starting his investing career, Phil served as Chief of Staff at ZoomInfo. Phil received a B.S. in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of California, Berkeley.
