Tanner Cope Bio

Tanner is a Partner at Trive Capital. His responsibilities include identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, performing transaction due diligence, and working with management teams to implement operational and growth strategies. Prior to joining Trive, Tanner was an Analyst for Morgan Stanley where he was a member of the Energy Investment Banking Group. While at Morgan Stanley, Tanner was involved with a variety of mergers, acquisitions, and debt and equity offerings across the exploration and production, midstream, and energy services sectors. Tanner began his career as an Analyst for Main Street Capital Corporation, a Houston-based Business Development Company, where he focused on valuation of debt and equity investments in Middle and Lower Middle Market portfolio companies. Tanner graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Kelley College of Business at Hardin-Simmons University where he earned a BBA in Economics and Accounting.
