Matt Rooney Bio

Mr. Rooney is a Managing Director at TriGate and has been with the firm since 2013. Mr. Rooney leads new business originations throughout the southeast, with a particular focus within TriGate’s target markets of Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, and Atlanta. Mr. Rooney focuses primarily on residential, retail and industrial properties. Prior to joining TriGate, Mr. Rooney worked in an analytical role at C-III Capital Partners. In this role, Matt was responsible for managing distressed asset dispositions and in various capacities, was instrumental in the sale of over $450M of distressed mortgage and real estate assets. Mr. Rooney received his B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business in 2011.
