Jaime Ramírez Bio

Mr. Ramirez joined Tribeca in July 2012 as Investment Director for the Consumer and Retail sectors. He is an expert in Strategy and Corporate Finance, particularly Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Tribeca, Mr. Ramirez was Executive Director of BBVA's Corporate Finance team in Colombia, where he was in charge of overseeing the origination and execution of M&A and ECM transactions in all non-utility sectors. Before BBVA, Mr. Ramirez worked at McKinsey & Company's New York office, where for nearly 5 years he advised several Fortune 500 companies in the Consumer and Pharmaceutical industries. Previously, Mr. Ramirez worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in New York and for Violy, Byorum & Partners, a strategic advisory firm headquartered in New York that specialized in M&A in Latin America. Mr. Ramirez holds a Bachelor in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City.
