J.P. Grenon graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He worked for Chevron in Production Operations for 1 year, then Aquitaine, Canterra and Husky through a series of acquisitions for 29 years, working various engineering positions including drilling, well completion and production operations. He then moved into management including responsibility for the Ram River gas plant and ultimately as General Manager for a regional business unit.
