Miguel Pires Bio

Miguel Pires is a Principal in Corporate Private Equity at Carlyle, focused on investment opportunities in the insurance sector. He is based in New York. Prior to starting to work for Carlyle in 2017, Mr. Pires was a Director in the Insurance Investment Banking group at Deutsche Bank in NY, where he advised insurance companies in the Americas on several M&A and capital raising transactions. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Pires worked as an Associate Director at UBS Investment Bank in NY, and prior to that as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in their Lisbon office. Mr. Pires has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Tecnico and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
