Michael Savage Bio

Michael Savage is a Director within the European buyout advisory group, focused on opportunities in the financial services sector. He joined the Carlyle Group in 2010 and has been based in London since 2012. He has been active in Carlyle investments in Calastone, Hurst Point Group, PIB Group, Barbon Insurance Group, the AA Ireland, and OzForex Group (now OFX) among others. He is currently on the boards of Hurst Point Group and Calastone. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Savage worked in investment banking at Moelis & Company, focused on M&A and corporate restructurings. Mr. Savage also worked in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Savage received a B.A. from Boston College.
