David McCann Bio

David McCann is a Managing Director - Partner and Senior Relationship Manager responsible for overseeing Investor Relations in North America. He is based in Toronto. Prior to joining Carlyle in 2014, Mr. McCann was Head of Asset Management Distribution for Credit Suisse Securities (Canada) Inc. Prior to 2010, he worked at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as Vice President and Head of Relationship Investments in Public Markets. Prior to that, Mr. McCann was a Partner at TD Capital and its successor partnership Birch Hill Equity Partners, a mid-market Canadian private equity buyout firm. He has also worked in various senior management roles with The Toronto-Dominion Bank in both the United States and Canada. Mr. McCann is a graduate of Western University BA 82, MA, 84 and MBA 86. He is a Co-Chair of the Western University “Be Extraordinary” $750 million fundraising campaign and has served on a number of private and public company boards. Mr. McCann currently holds CSC, Conduct & Practices and Partners, Directors and Senior Offices licenses.
