Carl Lavin Bio

Carl Lavin is a Managing Director in Carlyle Europe Technology Partners focused on buyouts of technology enabled businesses in the UK. He is based in London. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Lavin was a Director at Exponent Private Equity where he focused on UK mid-market buyout opportunities. Prior to Exponent, he founded and led a start-up mobile technology business. Prior to that, he was a Principal at Apax Partners and an Associate at Deutsche Bank eVentures where he invested in a in a number of technology businesses in Europe and the USA. Mr. Lavin received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and received a B.A. in Economics & Management from Oxford University.
