Stephen O’Connor Bio

Stephen O’Connor is a Managing Director in the Legal & Compliance Group and the Chief Compliance Officer of Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BMXA). In addition, Mr. O’Connor is involved in overseeing legal matters relating to the group’s commingled multi-manager products and a number of firm-wide strategic initiatives including Blackstone’s data science unit. Previously, Mr. O’Connor was involved in the legal structuring, negotiation and execution of investments by the BXMA’s Multi-Strategy platform and other direct trading platforms. Before joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. O’Connor was an Associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP focusing on various corporate and asset management matters including private investment fund formations and mergers & acquisitions. Mr. O’Connor received a BA from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
