Omar Rehman Bio

Omar Rehman is a Senior Managing Director and serves as the firm’s Deputy Global Head of Compliance. He is also currently the Chief Compliance Officer for Blackstone’s Private Equity group. Before joining Blackstone in 2013, Mr. Rehman was Global Head of Compliance for the Merchant Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that role, Mr. Rehman was a Vice President in Investment Banking Compliance at Goldman Sachs. Before joining Goldman Sachs in 2006, Mr. Rehman was an associate at the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton where he specialized in capital markets transactions and corporate governance issues. Mr. Rehman received his undergraduate degree from Duke University cum laude. Mr. Rehman was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar at Columbia University School of Law, where he received a JD, and graduated with a master’s degree in law from the Université de Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne.
