Alejandro Canelas Fernandez is a Managing Director in the Chief Legal Office. Before joining Blackstone in 2021, Mr. Canelas Fernandez practiced law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he worked on a wide range of corporate and financial transactions. Mr. Canelas Fernandez received a BS, cum laude, from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
