Simo Kamppari Bio

Simo Kamppari is a partner at Synetro Group focused on shaping the strategy and driving the operating performance of Synetro portfolio companies. He has a 15+ year track record of leading organizational change from bottom-up and top-down. Simo is actively engaged with a number of our portfolio companies at the board level, and in active operational roles ranging from finance, to strategy, to CEO. Simo joined Synetro in 2010 from McKinsey and Company where he was a consultant for five years, working with technology, financial services and education clients on board level issues related to strategy, operational performance improvement, and organizational design. Prior to joining McKinsey, Simo was a Group Manager at Oracle Corporation. In this role he led the development of applications software for sales analysis and budgeting, and drove numerous enhancements to the software development approach utilized by the organization. Simo holds a B. Sc. and M. Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is an avid car enthusiast, skier, and a married father of two living near Philadelphia.
