Mr. Himot is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Structured Capital for the Firm. Mr. Himot is also a member of SVP’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining SVP, Mr. Himot served as Partner and Portfolio Manager at Beach Point Capital Management where he jointly led the illiquid credit business including private senior loans, junior debt and preferred equity investments. Mr. Himot also led the creation of the $1.5 billion KeyBank Beach Point Direct Lending joint venture. Mr. Himot has over 15 years of industry experience having previously worked at Banc of America Securities and as an associate at the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers. Mr. Himot holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern California, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
