Matthew Garff Bio

Matthew Garff, Managing Director, joined Sun Capital over 20 years ago. He currently leads the consumer investment practice at Sun Capital where he reviews investment opportunities with food, consumer products and retail businesses. Matthew currently serves on the boards of Vince, National Tree, Mancini’s Sleepworld and Windsor. Prior to Sun Capital, Mr Garff worked for The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Prior to Carlyle, Matthew worked with KSL Fairways (KKR affiliate at the time), specializing in acquiring golf courses. Mr. Garff received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Utah and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago (Booth) and is a CFA charter holder. Matthew loves to spend time with family and friends. His favorite book is John Adams by David McCullough and his favorite movie is The Fugitive.
