Mike Vaughan Bio

Mike is an Operating Partner focusing on the global fintech sector across both consumer and enterprise software. Before joining Stripes, Mike was COO of Venmo. During his eight-year tenure, he helped lead the business from the ground floor to 40+ million active users, a $300 million annual revenue run rate, and $100 billion in payments in 2019. Prior to Venmo, he worked as an executive operator and helped develop successful businesses across multiple industries, including three exits. Mike has personally invested in more than 70 companies and is a co-founding general partner of Vera Equity, a pre-seed fintech fund. He currently serves as an independent board member at Stem, a fintech software platform for the music industry, and FinServ Acquisition Corp II, a fintech SPAC.
