Joe Clancy Bio

Joe is a Principal with STG. Prior to STG, Joe worked at TPG in San Francisco on the internet, media and communications team, investing across the firm’s buyout, growth, and IMC strategies. He was part of TPG’s acquisitions of regional cable operators RCN, Grande, and Wave to form Astound Broadband. He was also part of TPG’s acquisition of Fandom, where he spent time driving value creation as interim CFO and led the acquisition of Curse Media from Amazon. Prior to TPG, Joe was a banker with Morgan Stanley’s media & communications team in New York. Joe graduated from Boston College with degrees in Biology and Economics.
