David Kahn, Senior Managing Director of Business Development, joined Sterling in 2014. He is responsible for identifying, originating and qualifying new investment opportunities and managing this effort across the Firm. Previously, he worked as a Director of Investment Development for American Securities, where he led that firm’s business development activities. Prior to that, he spent five years at GE Global Sponsor Finance where he financed private equity transactions, equity co-investments and limited partnership fund investments, and worked extensively with Sterling. Prior to joining GE, David was a professional in the corporate finance and investment banking divisions of Deutsche Bank. David also worked in the middle market banking group of Chemical Bank (now J.P. Morgan). David earned a B.A. from Hobart College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
