Randy Wang Bio

Mr. Tsai is a member of the business development team, focusing on Asia. Prior to joining StepStone in 2012, Mr. Tsai was head of alternative investment of Cathay Life Insurance Company where he managed a US$2 billion global private equity and hedge fund portfolio and evaluated direct investment and venture capital funds in Taiwan. During his tenure at Cathay, he managed a derivatives portfolio of futures and options, served as a portfolio manager responsible for a US$100 million portfolio in Asia equities, and was a senior electronics industry analyst. In addition, he was head of proprietary trading at Cathay Securities Company. Mr. Tsai holds a BA from the National Taiwan University and an MS from the National Taipei University.
