Mr. Hughes heads investor relations for Stellus Capital Management (“Stellus”), overseeing existing LP relationships, fundraising, the co-investment program, and strategic marketing efforts for the firm. He has more than 17 years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, and credit. Prior to Stellus, he worked as a Managing Director for Harbert Management Corporation (“HMC”), as the lead for Southwest U.S. Marketing and Fundraising for HMC’s nine alternative investment funds. Prior to HMC, Mr. Hughes was with JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs where he managed groups focused on complex credit opportunities for private bank clients. Ryan received a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
