Josh Garfunkel Bio

Josh Garfunkel is a Vice President on the Investment Team, where his primary responsibilities include deal execution, thesis development, and portfolio company oversight. Mr. Garfunkel joined Soundcore as a Senior Associate in 2025. Prior to joining Soundcore, Mr. Garfunkel was a Senior Associate at MiddleGround Capital, an operationally focused middle-market private equity firm, based in their New York office. At MiddleGround Capital, he was involved in the origination and execution of control investments in industrial manufacturing and distribution companies. Prior to joining MiddleGround Capital in 2021, Mr. Garfunkel was a Senior Consultant within FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring group. He began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Mazzone & Associates in Atlanta. Mr. Garfunkel received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Emory University.
