Austin Smit Bio

Austin is a Vice President of Capital Markets at Shore Capital, a microcap private equity firm focused on partnering with companies that have between $1-10 million of EBITDA. Austin is responsible for assisting with the firm’s capital markets efforts, including the financing activities of all new investments and portfolio companies, as well as developing and managing banking and intermediary relationships. Prior to joining Shore, Austin worked seven years within BMO’s Sponsor Finance Group, where his responsibilities included origination and sourcing, underwriting and execution, and portfolio management of investments primarily in the food and consumer and healthcare industries.
