Peter Binas Bio

Peter has been with Schooner since 2008 and is a Managing Partner leading the firm’s global direct public equity investing program targeting deep-value long-term holdings in developed, emerging, and frontier markets. He also oversees Schooner’s international investing efforts more broadly and provides strategic and corporate finance support across the full portfolio served, having served on multiple Schooner private company boards and having led or co-led investments in Seventh Generation (acquired by Unilever) and Railcomm (acquired by Tracsis). Prior to Schooner, Peter worked for almost a decade with management consultancy McKinsey & Company. While there, he specialized in corporate finance and strategy, advising leading players in the private equity, retail, and CPG industries in the US, Latin America and Western Europe. Peter holds a JD/MBA from Harvard Law and Harvard Business School where he was a Baker scholar, and an AB with Honors from Harvard University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Economics and Social Studies.
