Samuel Robinson Bio

Samuel Robinson has served as Managing Partner and President of Sagard, as well as President of Portage, since 2016. Samuel is a member of the Sagard Management Committee and Board and oversees all operational aspects of the firm. He is based in the United States. Prior to Sagard, Samuel spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, serving as Chief Administrative Officer and Head of Strategy for the global Investment Banking Division, Chief Operating Officer of the firm’s emerging markets businesses and Chief of Staff to the firm’s President and Asia-Pacific Chief of Staff, among other roles. Samuel holds a M.A. and a M.Phil. from Christ Church, Oxford.
