Julie Plouffe Bio

Julie Plouffe, who joined the firm in 2022, is Partner, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Sagard. Julie is responsible for the company’s core accounting functions and works closely with key stakeholders across all of Sagard. She is also a member of the Executive Committee and is based in Montreal, Canada. Prior to Sagard, Julie was General Partner, CFO and Chief People Officer at White Star Capital, a global multi-stage technology investment platform. Before that, she worked at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) from 2007 to 2018, where she held various management roles in the areas of accounting, financial planning and reporting, risk management and procurement. She served as the Deputy to the CFO from 2016 to 2018. Julie began her career with KPMG, both in Montreal and Vancouver. Julie holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and a graduate degree from HEC Montreal and studied at Lancaster University in England. She is also a strategic advisor to Airudi, a Montreal-based company offering innovative AI-based solutions to streamline HR processes.
