Steve Carpenter Bio

Steve is a partner at Rubicon and joined the firm when it was established in 2012. He sits on the boards of ABOUT (formerly Central Logic), Aline, Cin7, Gimmal, Harver (formerly Outmatch), and Vision Government Solutions. Prior to their respective exits, Steve sat on the boards of AppNeta, Aucerna, Astute, Personify, QSR International, Scaled Agile, and Uplight. Before joining Rubicon, Steve was chief executive officer of Ventyx, a wholly owned division of ABB. Steve was also president, chief operating officer and chief technology officer at Ventyx as a private company owned by Vista Equity Partners from 2007 until its sale to ABB in 2010. Prior to Ventyx, Steve worked at several private equity-backed software roll-ups including Baan, SSA Global and Infor. Steve holds a bachelor of science in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
