Andrew Fischer Bio

Andrew is a German national and was raised in continental Europe and the USA. He read biochemistry at Cambridge, where he was a Scholar and a Blue. After joining Bain & Co in London, Andrew gained an MBA in Finance with distinction from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He then joined the European Buy-in Fund of Apax Partners, where he held a number of senior line positions in investee companies. One of the co-founders of Rubicon Partners, Andrew was instrumental in sourcing our initial investment. He also established the financial control and reporting systems through which we still operate our companies today. Andrew divides his time between transaction origination and serving as lead or support partner for a number of portfolio companies. He also takes active mentorship roles to CEOs in the UK and has chaired the Development Board at Magdalene College, Cambridge.
