Gregory Smith Bio

Greg joined Roark in 2018 and is a member of Roark’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Roark, Greg was Managing Director, Global Head of Restaurant Coverage and Head of Southeast Region at Barclays. Prior to Barclays, Greg was at Credit Suisse from 2006 to 2014, where he was a Managing Director responsible for covering clients in the consumer and retail industry and was the head of the Restaurant Investment Banking sector. In his duties at Barclays and Credit Suisse, Greg worked across much of the Roark portfolio as a trusted advisor and lead provider of debt and equity financing in the capital markets. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Greg was a Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets from 2001 to early 2006, and at Prudential Securities from 1994 to 2001, covering the consumer products and retail industry. Greg received a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
