Rupert West Bio

Rupert has worked at Puma for over ten years. He heads the Puma Private Equity business and sits on the Puma Investments Leadership Committee. Rupert oversees all aspects of investment and portfolio management but is most active in helping management teams define strategy, or supporting during periods of fundamental change. ​ Rupert has broad experience within financial markets having trained within the Standard Bank global graduate programme and then moved to Barclays Capital. At Puma he led a series of funds before developing Puma Private Equity as a standalone division of the group in 2018.​ Rupert read Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bristol before an MSc in International Policy Analysis at the University of Bath. He used to have interests out of the office but now has young children, however, he fondly remembers a time when he did some exercise, enjoyed cooking, and read a lot about economics.
