Paul is a qualified Chartered Accountant with significant experience leading financial, commercial and strategic growth across many industries. Having qualified in practise he then moved into industry with A&P Appledore (a company refitting ocean liners), before a move to what became Global WorkPlace Solutions (GWS). At GWS Paul led the Commercial, Finance and IT departments supporting growth from a UK business offering facilities, project management and real estate services to large corporations in half the worlds countries with revenue in excess of $4.5bn. After 17 years he supported the sale to CBRE, staying a further 2 years to support the integration. Paul joined the Ordnance Survey (OS) as their CFO and Head of Corporate Services. At OS he led the development of a new strategic direction for Ordnance Survey to commercialise its offerings and attained a new long-term commitment from the UK Government in the form of a £1bn+ long-term contract, establishing the foundation for its commercial ambition. Paul is now the Managing Director of Portchester Equity Limited overseeing its portfolio of investments to ensure the long-term strategic growth of the portfolio.
