Peter Calamari Bio

Peter Calamari joined Platte River Equity as a Managing Director in 2008 and focuses on the Firm’s investments in the Industrials Target Sector. For the past 20 years, Peter has been an investor in industrials, and service-based operating companies. Prior to joining Platte River Equity, Peter was a Principal at Vestar Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm founded in 1988 that has invested more than $11 billion. Previously, Peter was an analyst with the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch. Peter has served on numerous non-profit boards around Colorado, including the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation Investment Board and the Public School Permanent Fund Investment Board. Peter holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
