Frederick Brazelton Bio

Fred Brazelton, CEO, co-founded Platform and serves as Chief Executive Officer. Fred serves on the Board of Directors of Encino Energy, Envoy Mortgage and Exact Payments. In addition, Fred was on the Board of the Company’s investments in ALM First, Beneplace, Firestone & Robertson Distilling, Avalon Advisors, Evergreen North American Industrial Services, Landmark Aviation, Santa Barbara Tax Products Group and TRE Financial Services. Prior to Platform, he was a partner of The CapStreet Group, where he worked since 2000. Prior to joining CapStreet, Fred worked for the private equity firms of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Willis, Stein & Partners after starting his career in investment banking at CS First Boston. He received his BBA from the Business Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from Stanford University. Fred is active within the Houston community and serves on the Boards of various organizations including the St. Francis Episcopal Day School, the WorkFaith Connection and the Welch Foundation and was the former Chairman of the Board of the Small Steps Nurturing Center. Fred is an active member of Grace Bible Church and enjoys bird hunting, fly fishing and coaching sports for his three kids.
