David Heaney Bio

David Heaney, Senior Vice President, re-joined the company in 2021. At Platform, David drives strategy and organic growth across our portfolio. Prior to joining Platform, David spent the past eight years at Amazon where he held several leadership roles, across product management, data analytics, marketing, sales, and P&L responsibility for different business units. Prior to Amazon, David worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, private equity at Platform Partners, and venture capital at TomorrowVentures. He graduated from Duke University with a BSE in Civil Engineering. David received a JD from Northwestern University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, and a MBA from Kellogg School of Management. David enjoys spending time with his friends and family, and all watersports (swimming, fly fishing, scuba diving, river rafting).
