Stuart’s private equity career began in 1996 with CDC Group plc and thereafter with Aureos Capital and Phatisa Group, of which he is a founder and Managing Partner. Stuart has successfully raised over US$ 1 billion for private equity funds in Africa. Previously, he was Managing Partner of Aureos Southern Africa and General Manager of Takura Ventures in Zimbabwe. Stuart has served on the board of SAVCA and was a member of the EMPEA Frontier Markets Council.
