David Cogut is Co-Managing Partner at Pegasus Capital Advisors, where he helps lead the firm’s strategic initiatives and helps oversee day-to-day operations, serving on the management committee, investment committee, and valuation committee. In his role, David has been instrumental in overseeing both the Sub-National Climate Fund (SCF) and the Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR), and helps coordinate strategic relationships with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), UNDP, development finance institutions (DFIs), and corporates, particularly in the hospitality sector. He currently oversees certain portfolio companies including Pantheryx, Renaissance Downtowns, and SleepScore Labs, and has played a key role in successful past investments such as Six Senses, Spirit Music Group, and Halo, Purely for Pets. Prior to joining Pegasus, David was an investment banker at Moelis & Company, focusing on mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and financing transactions across multiple sectors including gaming and lodging, industrials, media, real estate, and technology. He graduated from Brown University with a degree in Economics.
