Vivek Sivathanu Bio

Vivek joined OrbiMed in 2020 and is a Vice President on the Private Equity team. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Vivek covered the biotechnology industry as a member of the Evercore ISI biotech equity research team. Previously, he was in management consulting at Simon-Kucher focused on commercial strategy for biopharma and medical device companies. Vivek holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology focused on bio-engineering and received a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has published scientific articles in various peer-reviewed journals. In his free time, Vivek is passionate about discovering new places, savoring diverse cuisines, and hitting the trails.
