Eric Engler Bio

Eric joined Orangewood Partners in 2021 where he is a Managing Director and involved in sourcing, deal execution and management of Orangewood Partner’s investments. Prior to joining Orangewood Partners, Eric spent 11 years at Reservoir Capital Group, where he was a Senior Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee. Reservoir is an opportunistic investment firm with a hybrid investment approach. At Reservoir, Eric invested across the capital structure on a wide variety of industries and was involved in several strategic investments across the investment management space. Prior to Reservoir, Eric was an investment analyst at D.E. Shaw & Co focused on distressed and credit opportunities. Eric has served on several board of directors (or equivalent) throughout his career, including ContourGlobal, EOS Energy Storage, ClearCaptions, Purple/ZVRS and Apres Cru Hospitality. Eric graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics with honors from Williams College, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and received an M. Phil. in Economics with distinction from The University of Oxford. He was born and raised in San Diego, CA.
