Jamal Hammoud Bio

Mr. Hammoud heads OpenGate’s MENA region and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team, and he also participates on the firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Hammoud brings over 25 years of investment management experience where he worked closely with investors globally such as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, corporates and UHNW to deliver differentiated solutions to address their investment objectives and mandates. Prior to joining OpenGate Capital, Mr. Hammoud was a Managing Director and Senior Investment Strategist at Churchill Asset Management leading Nuveen Private Capital’s efforts in the Middle East. Prior to Churchill, he was a Managing Director at Credit Value Partners, Founder of Milestones Capital (a leading boutique advisory firm), and head of MENA at Wall Street Global, and an associate at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Hammoud earned an MBA degree from William Simon School at the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
