Alexander Zak Bio

Mr. Zak is a Senior Vice President based in OpenGate Capital’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the firm’s Operations team supporting North American investments. Prior to joining OpenGate, Mr. Zak worked as a Vice President at Gallant Capital where he was responsible for strategic direction and operation of several portfolio companies. Prior to that, Mr. Zak spent several years leading operational transformations at Platinum Equity’s small and large cap companies. Mr. Zak started his career as an engineer at Becton Dickinson, followed by 4 years with McKinsey Operations practice. Mr. Zak graduated from Columbia Business School with an MBA, and earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.
