Karin du Toit Bio

Karin joined OMAI in May 2010 as the Chief Operating Officer. She owns the strategy execution capability and ensures that the operating environment is underpinned by an effective risk and control framework. Her functional responsibilities include Finance, Investment Operations, Governance, and professional services areas such as Legal, Human Capital and ESG. Karin’s overall duties therefore allow the investment teams to focus on the efficient management and investment of client money, supported by a frictionless and scalable platform. Karin has deep knowledge and experience of the listed and unlisted asset management industry. Prior to joining Old Mutual, she was employed as Head of Institutional Operations at STANLIB Asset Management where she was responsible for its entire asset management operations. Karin also spent a number of years at TASC Administration, a third-party fund administrator, as Senior Operations Manager where she built extensive knowledge of investment administration, technology and general best practice. Karin is a qualified Chartered Accountant in South Africa, CFA® charterholder and was awarded the CAIA Charter in 2019.
