Stephen DeNelsky Bio

Mr. DeNelsky is a managing director within Oaktree’s Global Private Debt strategy, with a primary focus on the Life Sciences Lending platform. Over his 30-year career, Mr. DeNelsky has worked across all sectors and sub-sectors of healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, services and devices. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2022, Mr. DeNelsky was a managing director at Marathon Asset Management where he was responsible for sourcing and evaluating investments in the healthcare space. Prior thereto, Mr. DeNelsky was president and co-founder of Life Sciences Alternative Funding. There, he led the joint venture with Perella-Weinberg to provide mezzanine growth capital via debt instruments to life sciences and healthcare companies. Mr. DeNelsky has also held senior positions at 11:11 Capital Management, Avenue Capital Group and Sapphire Capital Management. He received a B.A. degree in economics from American University and his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the University of Maryland. Mr. DeNelsky has served on the board of directors of Integrated Diagnostics, Visioncare Inc. and AMICAS (NASDAQ: AMCS).
