Matthew Kupersmith Bio

Mr. Kupersmith joined Oaktree in 2019 from Iron Compass, an investment manager focused on small public companies, where he was a co-chief investment officer. Prior to co-founding Iron Compass in 2014, he was a managing director at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group where he held numerous roles during his tenure, including head of North American private investments. Mr. Kupersmith currently serves on the boards of Cardio Management Services and Array Canada. He began his career as an investment banking analyst with Goldman Sachs before moving on to serve as a private equity associate with Berkshire Partners. He received an A.B. degree in history magna cum laude from Harvard University.
