Jay Ghiya Bio

Mr. Ghiya is a managing director and the Head of Information Solutions responsible for overseeing the Enterprise Data, Information Technology, Portfolio Construction & Risk Management and Reporting & Performance groups to optimize data and technology efficiencies. He previously served as the firm’s Head of Treasury and Tax group. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2008, Mr. Ghiya was a transactional attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, where his practice focused on structuring joint ventures, private equity funds, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Mr. Ghiya graduated with a B.A. degree in economics with a minor in philosophy from the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to receive a J.D. degree from the University of Southern California Law School, with the highest scholastic average in his graduating class. Mr. Ghiya has taught for several years as an adjunct law professor at the University of Southern California Law School.
