Guillaume Bayol Bio

Mr. Bayol is a managing director in Oaktree’s GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy. He is based in the London office and is responsible for origination, execution and board oversight of portfolio companies. Additionally, he serves as co-portfolio manager of the European Private Debt group’s maritime lending platform. Mr. Bayol currently serves on the board of OEG and OSM Thome. He previously served on the boards of Hafnia Ltd and Solvtrans AS. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, he began his career at Merrill Lynch in the Corporate Finance group, gaining experience in corporate finance and restructuring. Prior experience includes internships at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Hong Kong and Barclays Private Equity in France. Mr. Bayol received an M.B.A. degree with a major in finance from ESSEC Business School in France. He is fluent in French, Spanish and Italian.
