Hongjie "HJ" Hu Bio

Hongjie “HJ” Hu joined Novo Holdings in 2025 as a Partner in Growth Investments and is based in San Francsico. HJ has over 25 years of healthcare, life sciences and technology investing and operating experience across the US, Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Novo, he was co-founder and CEO of Cathay Health, and he built and led global medical technology and healthtech services investing at Temasek. Earlier, he helped build Temasek's global agriculture investing efforts, and was a technology and technology enabled services investor at private equity firm H.I.G. Capital and venture capital firm Crosslink Capital. HJ started his career in software engineering and product management in Silicon Valley, and earned a BS/MS from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University.
