Timothy Duffy Bio

Tim is a Partner, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer at Northstar Capital. He is responsible for financial management of the General Partner and its limited partnerships, compliance by Northstar with the US Advisors Act of 1940, fund administration, portfolio maintenance and all office operating activities. Prior to re-joining Northstar, Tim served as Chief Financial Officer at Northland Securities, Inc., a full service FINRA registered broker dealer with offices in multiple states. Prior to Northland and his role as an Investment Manager at Northstar Capital, Tim gained investment and tax experience at the Opus Group of companies and began his career in tax at KPMG. Tim received a B.A. in accounting from the University of St. Thomas and a MBT from the University of Minnesota. Tim is a CFA Charterholder and Certified Public Accountant (inactive). He is active in Boy Scouts, enjoys most outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
