Grant Berry Bio

Grant co-founded NorthEdge in 2009 and has been involved in a large number of private equity transactions over the past three decades based out of the North of England. Grant has led the fund raising processes for Funds I, II and III, as well as the inaugural SME Fund. In his role as Executive Chair Grant is responsible for Investor Relations and supporting new investment activity, he is also Chair of Investment Committee. Before NorthEdge, Grant was Managing Director at LDC based in Manchester, working alongside Andy Ball in establishing LDC’s Northern presence. Grant was responsible for 32 investments made in the North from 2000-2008, was also Head of the New Business teams for LDC across 11 offices for four years and acted as a member of LDC’s Senior Management Committee. Grant is a former member of the BVCA’s UK and European Capital Committee.
