Martin Rifkin Bio

A Fort Wayne native and founding partner of North River Capital LLC, Marty graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1978. Marty attended Boston University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in business. In 1985, he went on to graduate J.D. Cum Laude from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, DC. Marty began his career with OmniSource Corporation in 1985. He served as Executive Vice President and as a member of the Board of Directors. Under his leadership, OmniSource’s wire chopping and recycling business segment grew to be the largest single processor in North America and its copper trading business became one of the largest private traders in the scrap industry.
