Mr. Underwood co-founded North American Funds in 1989 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. Until co-founding North American in 1989, he was a general partner of ISSS Ventures, a venture capital partnership specializing in the information industry. Prior to this, he was President of Northern Trust Venture Capital. Previously Mr. Underwood was Vice President of Business Development for Heizer Corporation. Mr. Underwood has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. and a Ph. D. in Engineering Sciences all from Stanford University. He also has an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
